Effective July 2026
’Til Morning collects nothing. There are no accounts, no analytics, no third-party services, and no network code in the app.
Your recordings and notes
Everything you capture is stored only on your device. Voice recordings are transcribed on the device itself, using your phone’s built-in speech recognition: Apple’s on iPhone, Google’s offline recognition on Android. Audio and text never leave your phone unless you export or share them.
The Android build ships without internet permission at all, so the operating system will not open a network connection for it under any circumstances.
Microphone and speech recognition
Both permissions are used only while you are actively capturing a thought, and for transcribing that capture on the device. The app does not listen in the background, ever.
Notifications
Notifications are generated locally on your phone. The morning notification tells you how many notes are waiting. It never contains what you said.
Deleting your data
Deleting a note in the app, or deleting the app, permanently removes your data. We could not recover it if we wanted to, because we never had it.
Changes to this policy
If a future version ever changes any of the above, for example if optional cloud sync is added, this policy will be updated first and the app will ask for your explicit consent before anything leaves your device.
