Support
Stuck, found a bug, or have an idea for it? Email me. A human reads everything, usually within a day.
hello@tilmorning.appWhere are my notes?
In the morning inbox, once the night window ends. Night mode is deliberately write-only: there is no way to read anything back at 2am, because reading is what wakes you up properly.
Can I change when the dark face appears?
Yes. The ⋯ menu on the morning face has Night hours. It runs 9pm to 6am by default, and you can set it to whatever your nights actually look like.
A recording didn’t transcribe
The audio is always kept, so nothing is lost. Look for the play button on the note and you will still have exactly what you said.
iPhone
Transcription retries automatically the next time you open the app.
Android
Transcription happens live as you speak, so if it caught nothing the note stays as audio. Installing the offline English pack makes this much more reliable: Settings → Apps → Speech Services by Google → download English.
How do I capture without opening the app?
iPhone
Add the Lock Screen widget (long-press your Lock Screen, then Customise), assign the Action Button in Settings, or say “capture a thought in ’Til Morning” to Siri.
Android
Add the home screen widget (long-press the home screen, then Widgets), add the ’Til Morning tile to Quick Settings, or long-press the app icon for the capture shortcut.
How do I get my notes out?
Any note can be shared as Markdown or plain text from its detail view. For everything at once, use ⋯ → Export all, which gives you Markdown files with the capture times intact. Your notes are never locked in here.
Does it work without an internet connection?
Entirely. There is no account, no sync and no network access at all. Everything happens on your phone, which is also why nothing you say can end up anywhere else.
Something is wrong and I want it fixed
Please email hello@tilmorning.app with your phone model and roughly when it happened. The app has no analytics and no crash reporting, deliberately, so a message from you is genuinely the only way I find out.
